Hi Everyone!! It's been a crazy couple of weeks here in Shorely Chic land. We moved and here I am 40 weeks pregnant!!! I'm feeling good despite the crazy heat we're having here in the northeast and just waiting for this little guy to get going with his decent into the world :)
We are JUST settling in to the new house and I'm loving it so far! It's not done but since I don't know will happen in the next few days I wanted to share some photos of the progress.
Talk about nesting...
We got the table from Pottery Barn and white upholstered chairs at IKEA. They will eventually sit at the heads of the table and we have four
Restoration Hardware Madeline Chairs on the way which will sit on the sides.
I found this bar at a thrift shop and it was finished in a "lodge-y/vermont-y" stain. We simply painted it a high gloss black and voila - we got our perfect bar for $50 :)
My family has always loved a good type drawer filled with shells and my mom made this one a few years ago, I thought it was perfect for above the bar with our Hawaiian beads hanging from the side to remind us of our honeymoon. My dad made the playa sign which I love.
This cute sign hangs in the dining room, available in my Etsy shop :)
These chairs were a recent thrift find and I thought they were so California Chic looking. I like the way they look here under the stairs with some Shorely Chic art hanging above...
Our fireplace is adorned with vintage apothecary aqua glass bottles I've picked up along my way. Some I put shells on, others I left alone...
We're still waiting on our couch to come in so I'll update with a family room photo soon...
This is our entryway table which I also found at a local thrift shop and painted high gloss black, really into black these days! I think it's a nice cut or contrast from all the lightness in the house...
Jack: Mom, I'm hot. Me: So is your 40 week pregnant mother.
Here is the master bath, in progress...I'm LOVING the way it's coming out!
We used a basket weave carrera marble floor with specks of muted aqua...
and I love the floors! We picked a tile that imitates wood and it's bleached out to give it a lighter/beachy/driftwood look.
The nursery is almost complete but I don't want to reveal that until it's perfect!!
Will be back soon, maybe with a very special announcement, wish us luck!
